Biography

Harvey Chen is chairman of the Board of Advisors, CCL Greater China, and oversees CCL’s leadership development and organizational transformation work in the region. Harvey is a member of the International Advisory Board of Oxford Analytica.

Harvey’s global experience spans academia (Jean Monnet Lecturer in the Economics of the EU at the London School of Economics and Political Science), policymaking (Economist at International Monetary Fund and the Guangzhou Municipal Institute of Economics), the private sector (Senior currency analyst at JP Morgan Chase in New York; CEO of Global EduTech Management; Chairman of First Light Academy of Finance and Management in Shanghai), and the state-owned enterprise sector (Guangzhou Shipyard).

Harvey has served as independent director at the boards of Bank of Montreal (China), Bank of Wenzhou, and the Swiss company Luwa Air Engineering (Shanghai).

Harvey Chen holds MA in Economics, MPhil in Business, and PhD in Economics and Finance from Columbia University, and BSc In Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
